EBME Expo 2025 conference programmes confirmed

New ‘Medical Devices Connectivity Conference’ joins suite

A new Medical Devices Connectivity conference will take place at EBME Expo 2025, the UK’s leading healthcare technology exhibition and conference event.

The Medical Device Integration (MDI) conference has sessions covering the convergence of patient monitoring, infusion and ICT technologies, MDI outside of hospitals, equipment management approaches, and MDI in relation to electronic healthcare records.

The conference is a new addition to the popular suite of conferences and workshops, featuring more than 50 speakers, that run over two days alongside the exhibition. This year’s EBME Expo is taking place at the Coventry Building Society Arena, West Midlands, on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th of June.

The other established conferences are:

·        EBME Conference focusing on innovation in healthcare technology in a wide range of settings;

·        Operating Theatre Conference covering education, development and staff support as well as looking at capabilities and specific clinical areas;

·        Training Conference which this year looks at the principles of pulmonary physiology and use of medical technology;

·        Procurement Conference taking the theme of ‘Being strategic with healthcare technology’, looking at policies and systems, and has a clinical entrepreneur showcase.

All the conferences are accredited for continuing professional development (CPD). In addition, eight sponsored workshops are being run by leading international medical technology business.

Attend, Network, Grow

More than 1,700 delegates are expected at EBME Expo over the two days, participating in the conferences as well as visiting more than 165 exhibitors from around the world. As well as a huge international presence of brands at this year’s exhibition, there will also be a country pavilion for China bringing together a diverse range of technologies under one roof.

Dr John Sandham, the founder and chairman of the annual EBME Expo since its launch in 2010, has overseen the programme for this year’s EBME Expo Conference.

“The EBME Expo has been operating for 16 years and has established itself as the UK’s largest gathering of clinical engineers, EBME managers, and support staff,” says Dr Sandham.

“We know delegates appreciate the range of content we feature across the conference programmes so we are delighted to be introducing a new conference this year that will put the spotlight on the need for healthcare technology connectivity and integration.

“Using case studies in the MDI Conference will show how technology can be linked in a variety of settings while also sharing some of the practical aspects and lessons learnt in implementing connectivity.

“Technology applications are being seen in more and more locations, and this will also be reflected in the other conferences which will share developments in domestic settings, primary care, the arena of war, extreme/remote places, and virtual applications, as well as in hospitals.

“We also know how much delegates value the range and diversity of the speakers’ expertise and we are grateful for their input. EBME Expo certainly is an unparalleled opportunity for all attendees to network and grow their professional skills and technical knowledge, while exploring new ideas and developments”
